Our robot


This is our robot, Henry Windows. It's the same model as last years one, but it has got some improvements according to this year's missions.

Each year, we start from last year's robot and we adapt it for the new missions.

After each competition the robot is a little bit better. For example, this year in the regional championship, we used conventional connectors to plug the gadgets into the robot. Analysing the robot games videos, we realized that we were wasting a lot of time plugging the gadgets. After studying the problem, we discovered the “fast plugs” and, this way, we’ve gained around 30 additional seconds  for the national championship.

We learn a lot by looking at other teams. Up to now, we’ve always built simple gadgets. However, this year, for the international championship we’ve built a complex gadget which is able to carry out 2 difficult missions.

Another innovation which we are very proud of is the “soft start” (ramping start) which prevents the robot from skidding.
